Fantasy Football Players Of Week 7
The season is almost at its halfway point and some players are just starting to hit their stride for your fantasy Football team. This week running backs stole the show as both Steven Jackson and Lendale White had 3 touchdowns a piece.
So once again, here are the best fantasy football players of week 7.
Best Offensive Fantasy Football Player – Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis Rams
Jackson broke out in a huge way against the Cowboys running for 160 yards on 25 carries adding 3 touchdowns. Jackson wanted to prove to the Cowboys that they made a mistake on passing him up on draft day in 2004. This week he also proved to the fantasy football world why he was so highly regarded coming into the season.
Honorable mention: Lendale White, RB, Tennessee Titans
Best Offensive Fantasy Football Rookie – Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans
Johnson had a gigantic week against the Chiefs as he rushed for 168 yards on 18 carries with 1 touchdown, which helped to keep the Tennessee Titans undefeated. This performance will help his case to win rookie of year. His amazing season thus far has also proved to NFL teams that conference USA players can have an impact in the league and on your fantasy football team.
Honorable mention: Jonathan Stewart, RB, Carolina Panthers
Best Defensive Fantasy Football Player – Terrell Suggs, LB, Baltimore Ravens
Suggs scored on a 44 yard touchdown return to help clinch the game against the Dolphins. Although he had a great week he admitted to the media following the game that playing against rookie tackle Jake Long was not a walk in the park. Suggs has also indicated that he will be looking to lay the smack down on Hines Ward this week as payback for a dirty hit on Bart Scott last season.
Honorable mention: Kawika Mitchell, LB, Buffalo Bills
Best Defensive Fantasy Football Rookie – Trevor Scott, DE, Oakland Raiders
This rookie was a sixth round pick in this years draft from Buffalo. Trevor Scott had himself a career game in week 7 with 2 sacks 1 forced fumble. Scott will undoubtedly remember this game because his 2 sacks came against Old Man Favre. His effort helped the Raiders get a big win against the Jets for new coach Tom Cable.
