Fantasy Football Waiver Wire: Week 10

Joe Flacco RavensTotal Pro Sports – Running backs win fantasy football championships. Sure backs like Frank Gore, Brian Westbrook and LT might get you to the championship but crafty pickups during the home stretch can take your team from contender to juggernaut.

Here’s some pickups that could take your team to the next level. Lets take a look at this weeks Fantasy Football Waiver Wire.

QB- Joe Flacco – Like his draft day mate, Matt Ryan, Flacco has settled into his role nicely. Over the past three weeks Flacco has accounted for 640 yards and four touchdowns. He’ll have a nice match up against the Texans this week.

QB- Sage Rosenfels, HOU – With Matt Schaub out with a knee injury for at least a month, Rosenfels takes the helm as the Texans QB. In two games filling in for Schaub, Rosenfels has thrown for 470 yards and three touchdowns. His match up with Baltimore is not ideal this week, but he does get the Colts and Browns after that.

RB- Jamaal Charles, KC – With Larry Johnson out this week serving suspension, Charles will get the starting nod. Not only will he have a good match up this week against San Diego but down the road as well. Johnson could be suspended for even longer and if so, Charles will get to face Miami, Oakland, Denver and Sand Diego turn the final four weeks of the fantasy year.

RB- Ray Rice, BAL – He’s been on this list before, but now you definitely need to add this guy. After a week with 21 carries and 154 yards, Rice looks like he’ll get plenty of touches in a run first offense. Willis McGahee is banged up and more games like this could let Rice take over the starting role.

WR- Shaun McDonald, DET – McDonald has filled the void left by Roy William’s departure to Dallas, and he’s done it nicely. Over the past two weeks he’s had 133 yards on 11 catches and a touchdown grab. He’s continue to get looks as Detroit will play from behind.

TE- Kevin Boss, NYG – As far as the waiver wire goes, the tight end position has the slimest pickings. If you are looking for a nice bye week fill in Boss could be your guy against an Eagles defense that will give up plays to the tight end.

K- Josh Scobee, JAC – I like Scobee this week, only because he faces the Lions. The Jags will score early and often against the hapless kitty cats.

DEF- Carolina – If there still available in your league, and in some they are, grab them. With match ups the next two weeks versus the Lions and Raiders, expect big dividends from a Panthers D that has been solid.

Be sure to check back next week with for week 11 Fantasy Football Waiver Wire.
