Total Pro Sports - After six long months, all the doubts are over to what team he will be joining.  Mats Sundin has officially agreed to a contract with the Vancouver Canucks.  Mats Sundin main goal is to win a Stanley Cup, we don't understand how he will do this with the Vancouver Canucks.

Maybe were missing something here? Maybe this is just the beginning of the Canucks master plan?  Will the Canucks now try to go after The Glass Man, Marian Gaborik?  I guess we will just have to wait and see whats next for the Canucks.

Mats Sundin had this to say,

"I am truly excited to be joining the Canucks," said Sundin in a team statement. "Once I made the decision to return to play a few weeks ago, the Vancouver opportunity was simply the best overall fit. I want to thank Mike Gillis and the entire Canucks organization for their professionalism throughout this entire process."

Apparently, the deal is worth $10 million a season, pro rated ($5 million because the season is half way done).  The New york Rangers just couldn't fit him in to the roster because they were already over the salary cap.

So Mats, what was that true blue statement all about?  You remember, don't you?  I believe you said " I will always be a leaf, and i will never be a rental player".  Well Mats, I guess you have lied to the true blue Leaf fans, which will not sit right with the die hards from Toronto.
