Rice Owls vs Western Michigan Broncos
Texas Bowl Game: Preview
It has been nice to see the Rice Owls finally enjoy some success this year, although they will not have the warmest climate that Texas has ever enjoyed they are still glad to be in a bowl game. After many years of futility the Owls have really come together under second year head coach David Bailiff. This years version of the Owls features an explosive offense that can put up huge numbers, the Broncos attack features a similar threat as they have the potential to move the chains and put up points. Led by quarterback Tim Hiller, the Broncos are 12th in passing offense, due to the combination of Hiller and Simmons. The Rice Owls are in the top 10 in passing offense with their fantastic duo of Clement and Dillard.
Texas Bowl Game: Prediction
Expect a shootout in Houston as these two teams are packed with offensive talent. The team that can do more defensively, which is easier said than done, has the best chance to win this game. The game will be played in an indoor stadium so the weather will not be an issue, the line is so small relative to the amount of points that these teams can score we will fray from taking a winner.
