The "spread" formation, as Oklahoma uses, is something different all together, and is similar to what the Arizona Cardinals use in the NFL. I agree, though, that Georgia is more of a typical NFL offense, but Stafford is overrated. Without his big arm, we aren't having this discussion. I guess I see the whole jump to the NFL a little different than most. To me it's like this: if you're a musician playing for peanuts at a local bar, and a record company offers you a multi-year record deal. What do you do, if you love music? Where is the difficulty in that decision? I doubt that the Beatles would've said, "Sorry, old chap. We've got to stand by the pub that gave us our first opportunity." Whatever. I think he's a little scared about having to lead 30 year old men, and feels he needs to grow up more--both menatally and physically to prepare him for that. BY THE WAY, LET ME GO ON RECORD NOW AS SAYING THAT HE WILL BE THE FIRST, (NOT ONE OF THE FIRST) QUARTERBACK TAKEN NEXT YEAR. HE WILL BE THE FIRST OVERALL PICK IN THE DRAFT. His devotion to the university will never be forgotten, I agree with the amount of quality quarterbacks entering the draft this year he was gonna be one of the first quarterbacks selected. He wants a Championship and his hunger to win one at Oklahoma is unprecedented. This may help him down the road in that it shows teams how commited he can be to winning and acheiving goals that he sets for himself. Injuries are too possible, especially with a depleted O-line. Could've driven a Ferrari to work. Instead he'll ride a bike to practice--after class. Bad business decision for both men. No doubt this move will cause Mark Sanchez to come out early, and he actually needs another year to fine-tune his skills. I'm simply dumbfounded. I don't get it.
