Total Pro Sports - Jay Bouwmeester of the Florida Panthers is giving no information about his future with the Florida Panthers. The 25 year old defenceman has been rumored in trades ever since he dawned a Panthers jersey, however, this upcoming year his contract will be up and the Panthers may be looking to get some value in return.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Jay Bouwmeester will not make any sudden decision about a new contract, he had this to say, "

'I won't' make any rash decisions."

It was also reported that if the Florida Panthers were not able to sign him by the March 4th trade deadline, they would trade him even though they are in a playoff race.

We are sure that all the teams in the NHL are interested in his services, however, in this report there were only a few mentioned. It appears atop the list are the Ottawa Senators, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, Montreal Canadiens and Columbus Blue Jackets.
