We'll never really know how hard he hit him, but if you watched the entire game, you know the intent was there. This game was chippy right from the start. Just prior to this, Gastadello gave Adrianno a hard slide tackle, and Adrianno was looking to retaliate, Adrianno punched him right in the gut, it was not phantom punch. The minute they showed it on replay, I knew he would get suspended. I have even watched this replay and it is evident that he upper cuts him right in the gut. I understand that soccer players have a reputation for diving, but in this instance, he was not faking. No stretcher came out, and he was quickly on his feet. Bottom line, Adrianno deserves to be suspended, it was a stupid retaliation. Hey DanD, did you actually watch the game?
