You got it man I would have opened him a new as$ho!# saying that Ben is just average, a guy that has the rookie and sophmore career that Ben had its not an average QB.

That is a good analization of Josh Freeman I have not seen him much but I have seen the highlight reels and I definatly see a resemblence.

Very funny, Chico...The talent thing works out in this case too because Roethlisberger has loads of it. None of those top echelon QB's get to that point without having talent to begin with, as you know.

On a side note...In the "Mock Draft 2.0" post, I listed Josh Freeman's (QB, Kansas State) best case scenario as developing into a Ben Roethlisberger. I actually had a guy comment that he hopes Freeman's upside is better than that, and that Ben is an average quarterback. I wanted to shred him, but I decided in the end that the comment didn't deserve a reply. People must get jealous that Ben can post average numbers most of the time, letting the defense keep them in games, then answer the bell when he's needed most. 15 for 32, 135 yards, 1 TD and 4 INT's is fine, as long as that touchdown comes with 26 seconds on the clock to win the game! Gritt PLUS talent=Championship quarterback.

Stop pretending Chad you know you would take a guy with talent and can't deliver in the final minutes over a guy that has gritt and can. LOL.

I agree "Big" Ben is a very clutch QB hes been doing it his whole career but does not get enough recognition for his great leadership and ability.

Roethlisberger should be mentioned in the group following Peyton Manning and Tom Brady with guys like Philip Rivers, Tony Romo, Donovan McNabb, and Eli Manning. He is a very "clutch" quarterback who doesn't put up great numbers, but always seems to deliver when it matters most. I'd take a guy who throws three picks in a game, but delivers the two-minute scoring drive that wins the game, over a guy who throws three touchdowns and chokes in crunch time.

Manning and Brady have a solid history of doing both, and neither has had a defense or a running game as good as Pittsburg's. Ben is great at doing what he does.
