This summer the NBA created what is known as the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown where they had 8 dunk contests in major cities across the US open for any amateurs to enter, to see who the best dunker not in the league is. The Winner of each dunk contest in each city goes to the finals where the fans vote on the internet for the top 2 dunkers out of the 8 to compete in an amateur dunk contest at NBA All-Star Weekend in Dallas this coming up season. Guy Dupuy competed in the San Francisco showdown and killed the whole contest, i was there it was ridiculous. But the main point of my comment is that Guy Dupuy will be showing off his skills at All-Star weekend and they get a chance to compete with the pros. Whoever wrote this doesn't follow the NBA enough. He came in second. Riser was nice, but his creativity was limited. This French dude has got serious hops. Too bad he's not 6'6" or he'd be doing 720's n' shit on the regular. Phenomenal talent... Word of advice for him: get some game and try out for the NBA instead of foolin' around with all this dunk champ mess. It's cool, but with with high flying skills like that there's no excuse to not be at least in Clipper camp at age 20 or whatever. I think he must have a suspect game. Not hating, I'm just saying. Hell, it seems easier to make the NBA as a Euro nowadays than it is as a D1 American ballplayer. Ricky Rubio or that skinny ass overrated new Buck B. Jennings anyone??!! What's your excuse, Guy?
