Nate Robinson Dunks Over Biff Henderson
Amare Out of Sight 8 Weeks
Total Pro Sports – With just under 30 games to go in the NBA regular season, and a 9 team payoff race heating up in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns are the odd team out. If that news wasn’t bad enough, they have also lost All-Star power forward Amare Stoudemire for eight weeks. This can’t be good news for a team that has already had one of their worst seasons in a while.
Stoudemire was injured during the Suns 142-119 victory over the Clippers on Wednesday night. He had 42 points that game. With the playoffs starting in eight weeks, and the Suns on the outside looking in, this may be the end of the season for the superstar big man. The surgery was today to repair a partially detached retina and news releases state that he wont be ready for physical activity for eight weeks.
This may be the final nail int he Suns coffin for the season, but if they manage to find themselves in the playoffs, they could be dangerous to whoever they face off against once Stoudemire is back. Whatever the case, it should be an interesting final push for the playoffs in Phoenix.
Here are the highlights of the game. It doesn’t show exactly where he got hurt but maybe it was from him whipping his eyes because he couldn’t believe what he saw on the scoreboard. If only Zach Randolph was in this game again. I could only imagine how tempted he was to throw some more punches.
