Blake Griffin And The Sooners Fall
Total Pro Sports – Future 2009 NBA first overall pick Blake Griffin of the Oklahoma Sooners rode the pine as he suffered sustained a concussion in the first half of the basketball game against the Texas Longhorns.
“But Griffin played only 11 minutes, all in the first half, and the Big 12’s leading scorer and rebounder finished with two points and three rebounds. It appeared Griffin turned on the baseline to take a shot and ran into the open hand of 300-pound Texas forward Dexter Pittman.”
A 73-68 victory by the Texas Longhorns over the #2 ranked Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday night snapped their 13 game winning streak. The Longhorns improve to 18-8 on the season and were lead by A.J. Abrams’ 23 points and Damion James kicked in 16 points for Texas.
“I feel like with Blake playing it would have been a different game and I feel like with him we would have won,” said Oklahoma’s freshman guard Willie Warren, who led the Sooners with 27 points.”
This NCAA college basketball season has been a great one thus far and hope the trend continues into March Madness.
