The MLB Never Ending Story
Who Will Save Your Kids from Alligators? Not David Dellucci!
Total Pro Sports- David Dellucci may be fighting for a spot in the Cleveland Indians’ lineup this spring, but if that doesn’t work out there will always be a spot for him at Disney Studios.
Dellucci arrived at spring training with a cut on his left thumb that required stitches.According to FoxSports, he gathered three reporters at his locker on Saturday morning and told them the following story about the thumb that will cause him to miss the opening three games of the Cactus League season:
“Right before I came here on Feb. 1, I was fishing on the side of my lake, and I heard a little boy screaming. I ran over and an alligator had him by the leg. I jumped on the gator, poked him in the eyes, freed the kid, but he (the gator) got me in my thumb. I got stitched and had surgery.”
Dellucci’s straight face had the reporters going until he finally came clean at the end. So what really happened? Well lets just say that the only gator who got a piece of his thumb was the “tailgater” for his trailer while he was packing up for spring training at his Baton Rouge home. For a guy who hasn’t lived up to expectations thus far with the Indians, its good to see that he has his sense of humor, although he probably would have been best off sticking to his gator story.
