Total Pro Sports- Rick Pitino has always been a snappy dresser, but his latest outfit could be his finest to date.
On Sunday, number 6 Louisville Cardinals took on number 8 Marquette Golden Eagles. It was a close game that was eventually won by the Cardinals, 62 to 58. NCAA basketball is starting to heat up because the March Madness Tournament is just around the corner.
The real story of this game was Rick Pitino's amazing white suit and red striped tie. He was apparently trying to fit in with the fans who were also wearing white.
Louisville wore white throwback uniforms honoring the late-1960s teams of Wes Unseld, and Pitino drew a roar when he walked onto the floor in a flashy white suit, a tip to the school's "white-out" promotion. [Sportsline]
If I didn't know about the white-out promotion I would have thought that Rick Pitino was auditioning for an upcoming Mobster movie. This is the second time he has worn the suit, but only the first time he has worn it for the entire game. If he wears it during the tournament I will definitely be cheering for the Cards to go all the way.
