Yankees A-Fraud Jerseys No More

2

Total Pro Sports - Have you ever considered going to the MLB website and personalizing your own team jersey? Well if you did and you had your sights set on creating an A-Fraud New York Yankees jersey, you are definitely out of luck.

Staring today, Major League Baseball has suspended the customization of "A-Fraud" on all MLB jerseys.  A-Fraud was the nickname given to Alex Rodriguez after he admitted to using steroids from 2001-2003.

"MLB.com has banned the new A-Rod nickname from the personalization feature on replica jerseys on MLB.com. MLB.com spokesman Matt Gould told CNBC that the league does not allow fans to personalize products with anything that is deemed inappropriate, derogatory or profane." [CNBC]

The MLB may have stopped the purchases of "A-Fraud" on the back of jerseys, but I can bet you can think of a couple other local stores in your area that would be more than willing to customize your jersey for you.  Especially if you don't live in the New York area, this won't be a problem.
