Total Pro Sports – This week’s NHL Power Rankings has the San Jose Sharks dropping out of the top 3 and the New York Islanders finally moving out of the basement.

The biggest Shakers in our NHL Power Rankings this week were the drowning Anaheim Ducks dropping 3 spots to land at #21.

The second biggest shaker was the Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres, and St.Louis Blues all falling 2 spots to end up at #11, #15 and #22 respectively.

The biggest Movers in our NHL Power Rankings this week were the red hot Pittsburgh Penguins climbing up 4 spots to sit at #10.

6	40-21-6	-	Bad week for the Caps losing all 4 of their games including a tough 4-3 shootout loss to the Penguins.
7	35-19-10	1	Great week for Simon Gagne, Mike Knuble and Mike Richards as they combined for 13 points in 3 games.
8	35-24-7	1	Not the greatest of weeks losing to the Sabres 5-1 and then getting shutout 2-0 to the Thrashers.
9	34-22-8	1	Solid week winning both of their games beating the Wild 4-2 and the sharks 3-1.
10	35-26-6	4	Won 5 road games in a row for the first time in franchise history.
11	36-19-9	2	Samuel Pahlsson can’t be inserted into the lineup soon enough as the ‘Hawks have lost their last two games.
12	34-24-8	1	The Rangers new additions of Nik Antropov and Derek Morris seem to be helping as they won both of their games last week.
13	34-24-8	1	David Booth showed off his scoring ability netting a hat-trick in the Panthers 5-3 win over the Blues.
14	35-27-5	2	Solid week lead by the duo of Eric Staal and newly acquired Erik Cole who combined for 16 points in 3 games.
15	33-26-7	2	Have gone 2-2-1 in their last 5 games.
16	33-27-6	1	Good week for Rick Nash as he scored 4 goals and added 2 assists for 6 points.
17	32-27-6	-	Youngster Sam Gagner seems to be turning things around as he potted 3 goals and had 2 assists for 5 points in 3 games.
18	33-29-4	1	Saw their 6 game winning streak come to an end with their 4-1 loss to the Flyers.
19	31-27-8	3	Great week for Mike Ribeiro and Loui Eriksson as they were able to combine for 12 points in 4 games.
20	32-28-5	1	Decent week for the Wild beating the Sharks 4-3 and the Ducks 3-2.
21	31-30-6	3	Week the Ducks would like to forget losing all 3 of their games.
22	29-28-8	2	Good week for David Backes, Andy McDonald and Brad Boyes combining for 12 points in 3 games.
23	28-28-9	1	Rookie Teddy Purcell is enjoying his new found ice-time as he’s currently on a 4 game point streak.
24	26-27-13	1	With Nik Antropov and Dominic Moore now gone for draft picks it appears the Leafs will now be gunning for a top 5 pick.
25	25-29-10	1	Good week for the Sens winning 2 out of their 3 games including a 6-3 victory over the Sabres.
26	28-33-5	1	Had a terrible month of February and so far March doesn’t appear to be any better after going 1-2 last week.
27	25-35-6	1	Good week for the Thrashers going 2-1 including a 2-0 shutout win over the Canadiens.
28	29-36-1	1	Were able to put an end to their 6 game losing streak with a 5-1 win over the Blackhawks.
29	22-37-7	1	Some positive news for once as the Islanders went 4-1-1 on their 6 game home stand.
30	21-32-13	1	Currently on a 3 game winless streak.
