The Newest Raptors Sensation Pops Mensah-Bonsu
Total Pro Sports - We would like to introduce the newest Toronto Raptors sensation Pops Mensah-Bonsu. Pops signed with the squad on March 6th.
In his 4th game as a Raptor Pops Mensah-Bonsu scored 21 points, added 8 rebounds in 22 minutes and did all of this off the bench against the Pacers on Sunday.
"Coming out of college, it was always, `great athlete, aggressive defender but ...'" the newest Raptor said yesterday. "I hated that, I hated being looked at as raw because people already had their preconceived notion of me before I even got a chance to prove.
"I'm coming into work and they're like, `Well, he's not really a great shooter so if he makes a jump shot, oh, well, he got lucky.' Now I feel like I can shoot. I think playing in the D-League helped me, helped me get my confidence up and playing for those guys down there helped me show what I can do. I became more of a consistent jump shooter and people saw what I can do out there." [TheTorontoStar]
So make sure you keep an eye on Pops he's out to prove alot of people wrong.

It sucks that he is now the highlight of our season. Remember too, Jamario Moon was a beast when he was playing for his NBA life last year….and this year, he came back as a jumpshooter. By my theory, Pops’ll come back next year tryin’ to be the backup point.
