Dude is totally right about the first goal. Dude lost control of the puck, it went backwards to the direction he was travelling and he had to go back and get it. The rules are insipidly clear, you must move the puck forward at all times on the penalty shot, with the one exception being the spin-o-rama (note: actually the term the NHL uses). To my knowledge this rule is uniform in all hockey leagues that I have ever read the rules of. That ref should be fired.
