The Stat Line Of The Night – 04/17/09 – Mark Teahen

Mark TeahenTotal Pro Sports – The Kansas City Royals traveled to the lone star state to take on the Texas Rangers.  In a blowout, the Royals won the game 12-3 and improve to 6-4 on the year.

The player of the game was third baseman Mark Teahen of the Kansas City Royals who went 5-6 from the plate with 1 home run, 1 RBI and 3 runs scored in the win.  Ultimately making him “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Friday April 17th, 2009.

Gil Meche didn’t look like somebody who hates pitching in Rangers Ballpark, and his Kansas City Royals teammates certainly didn’t seem like the worst-hitting team in the majors.

Meche pitched into the seventh without allowing a run, Mark Teahen assumed his new role by going 5-for-6 with a homer and the Royals beat the Texas Rangers 12-3 on Friday night.
