Will R.J. Umberger Ever Learn To Keep His Head Up?
Total Pro Sports- During the game 3 of the playoff series between the Detroit Red Wings and the Columbus Blue Jackets, there was yet another bone-jarring hit. This time Red Wing defender Brad Stuart delivered the blow to Columbus forward R.J. Umberger.
The hit was fantastic, but the real story here is the this is the second time that R.J. Umberger has been blown-up big time, in playoff hockey.
The first big hit came a few years ago when he was a member of the Philadelphia Flyers and Brian Campbell destroyed him. It was one of the biggest hits in NHL history. I thought R.J. would learn his lesson after a hit like that, I guess not. Here are both the hits for your enjoyment.

I was at that game yesterday in colombus, and that hit happened right in front of me….you can see me a bit n that video…..anyways, wow did he get smoked it was a great hit by a terrible defencemn
When the Red Army comes to town you got to be on your toes! Umberger got his A** handed to him and his brain, that guy looked soooo confused after that hit, I haven’t seen such a hard, clean hit like that in a long time!! He’s been posterized for life!!
