Good call on Bengals taking Johnson...except they managed to get him at a bargain 32 picks later! Occasionally justice gets served and talented people end up paying a price for poor work ethic.

I'm already bracing myself for the disappointment of the 2 games with Green Bay, who will now have Raji bulldozing Raiola every down. I was hoping if they took any O-line it would be Mack, especially after they saw the Raji pick.

Hey Chad what's up...sorry couldn't join in the banter this weekend, some hardcore storms rolled through my area Saturday afternoon and knocked out power and cable to almost everyone in my area until last night. So I caught all the action on recap after the fact.

After the Stafford debacle nothing the Lions do should really be surprising, I'm trying to remain indifferent to the whole thing. Yeah we needed a good tight end, Gaines was already dropping passes in practice and the new guy Heller is just a blocker. I like Delmas (I see you did have us getting a safety in RD3) what do you think about that pickup? Considering Maualuga was still there at 33 I'm pretty puzzled they let him pass...but then again so did all the other teams so trying to stay objective about the decision.

Looks like Beckwith and Ellerbe the linebackers didn't even get drafted...but the good ol' Lions went ahead and took ANOTHER tight end with their last pick. Good stuff!

They got some return specialists so I'm down with that, although maybe a bit early. This whole "best player available regardless of position" just doesn't sit well with me, it has to be tempered with needs to some degree. They say because the team has so many needs they can draft anything, but certain needs clearly are more pressing and they virtually ignored them. The lines are historically bad and they pick up only one lineman on each side, as late-round projects. Whoopee. I can say with confidence that most fans here are pretty miffed.

Canadian Colts...I love what the Bengals have done! I would have taken Monroe over Andre Smith EVERY time, but they've had a terriffic overall draft. Maualuga in the second? Are you kidding me?! A lot of teams are going to be kicking themselves for passing on him. They got a lot better this weekend for sure. The New York Giants had the best draft, in my estimation. The first five picks they made were all top 64 picks, on my board. Bomar was a decent value in round five, and Wright is an underrated but highly talented corner they got in the sixth. If Hakeem Nicks can lay off the weed, he could be a rookie of the year candidate. He was my number two ranked receiver in this draft (behind Crabtree). The rich get richer!

Joe Jenson...Well, I'll have to enjoy my humble pie on the Pats' call. You called it, I missed. I still believe they should've looked at a back this year but, as always, they have stockpiled picks next year already. They should be in a good position AGAIN next year to get their young back. Is it any wonder why they have won three Super Bowls in this decade with all they're able to accomplish in April?

I liked Greene a lot, and think he'll have a solid NFL career. I had him as a mid second round pick. He's a between the tackles runner with awesome vision, balance, and power. His small hands and inexperience as a receiver had him slip into round three. Jennings is more of a pure north and south bruiser, but I had him rated higher than he will be drafted as well (third round pick). He lacks the lateral movement and quickness that Greene has, though he is probably somewhat more powerful--out of the Brandon Jacobs mold. Playing at Liberty didn't help him. Had he played at USC, he'd have been a first or second round pick.

I really like what the Bengals has done thus far with Smith, Maualuga and Johnson. I think the Bengals are having a great draft. What do you think?

With (4) 2nd round picks & (4) 3rd round picks, if the Pats were thinking RB early as you thought (not me) - this would be the perfect opportunity. Looking at the RBs left and bouncing that against your mock draft, personally I would take Jennings over Greene.

Canadian Colts...It makes sense. Addai is injury prone and has almost no power. Brown is durable and has a low center of gravity. He is perfect for the Colts offense and will team with Addai to make a solid tandem. I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get a WR. What are we going to do to replace Marvin? I didn't like that we passed on Robiskie, Britt, Nicks, and Ziggy Hood to take Brown. As much as we could use Brown, I think we need a wideout. Moala makes sense in the second round.
