Rangers Fans Wear Ponchos At The Caps GameTotal Pro Sports – After game 4′s incident where a Washington Capitals fan dumped his beer on the New York Rangers coach John Tortorella. Capitals fans sitting behind the Rangers bench in game 7 decided to protect themselves from the beer and Gatorade showers by wearing red ponchos.

Along with the group of 5 Caps fans who wearing the ponchos, a security guard sat in the aisle for the entire game making sure nobody got to the bench like they did in Game 4.  The Capitals also beefed up the glass behind the bench adding plastic barriers that fill in the empty slots between the glass as well as any openings above the glass.

Sure enough with all the added security and precautions John Tortorella and the New York Rangers stayed safe from the Capitals fans, but ended up losing the game 2-1.
