Brazilian Goalkeeper Scores In His Own Net

1

Total Pro Sports - During last night’s Copa do Brasil quarterfinal match between Vasco da Gama and Icasa, the Icasa goalkeeper "Ari" showed the world how not to make a slide tackle in your own box. Ari ran across to kick the ball out of his own box and accidentally kicked it into his own goal giving Vasco da Gama a 1-0 lead.

"After just eight minutes Vasco were handed the lead as Icasa goalkeeper Ari sliced an attempted clearance off the post and agonisingly over the line."

Luckily the game ended in a 1-1 draw and Ari was off the hook for scoring in his own goal.
