cindy is nothing but a whinner, far from a winner. if he used his mouth for making plays instead of satifying the refs he would be a better player.

I don't think I claimed that Crosby isn't a great player. But regardless of how you feel about him or the actual truth about him, he has a reputation as a whiner. This article was supposed to be funny. Sorry if I offended all you Pittsburgh fans out there. However, Crosby hasn't been doing much lately to rid himself of his wimpy image.

Crosby may be a little bit of a whiner and he may take a dive or two, but you could make a case that many hockey players are guilty of both of these actions. Ovechkin himself has drawn a few "questionable" penalties this series because of overacting. That is part of the game. It's only fair considering that for years (80's into the 90's) you had to practically be de-capitated to draw a penalty–just ask Lemieux about that.

The point is that all of the whining and diving is gamesmenship and it matters. Players that are better at this art put their teams in better positions to win because of the power plays they create.

One last thing…Crosby is not a whimp. He might look small and the 12 year-old looking face may naturally lead you to the assumption, but he is not a whimp. Let me repete, NOT A WHIMP. He is not afraid to fight. I think he'd probably fight anyone in the league if the right situation presented itself. Whimps do not become captains in the NHL. Being captain is an honor that demands respect of your teammates and peers. Whimps generally don't command the respect it takes to be made a captain.

i think crosby is a great player but i agree he is a wimp i think if he toughened up a little he could be one of the best players of all time.

I dont think its fair to call Crosby a whiner …. the guy is ultra competitive, ultra intense, and he loves to win….. these ae the attributes that make him th eplayer here is …… so you have to be understanding if a guy like that complains every nopw and then when he has reporters asking him the same question over and over imediately after a tough loss…… there can only be so many times where crosby gives the standard sugar coated / fluffy answer everyone wants to here….so if he gets nervous once in a while and speaks his mind i wouldnt call him a whiner

also, another great, Wayne Gretzky was often accused of being a whiner back in his day ………. but again, i dont think u can knock these gusy for it,,,,,there just ultra competitive and good enough players that they dont need to hald back what there thinking
