chicago-blackhawksTotal Pro Sports – The NHL and IIHF have announced that the Chicago Blackhawks will have two additional games added to their European Road Trip prior to kicking off the season against the Florida Panthers October 2nd and 3rd, in Helsinki, Finland.  First up will be the Swiss champions, Davos.

This will be the fist European visit for the original six team and they will now kick it off in Zurich on September 28 with the exhibition game against Davos.  That will be their warm up prior to the Victoria Cup challenge match against the European champion Zurich Lions.

This is good news for the Chicago Blackhawks following their overtime loss in game 2 against the Detroit Red Wings.  It now looks like their chances at the Stanley Cup have faded, but at least there will be the Victoria Cup for them to fall back on in four months.
