Floyd Mayweather’s ESPN Interview Heats Up
Total Pro Sports - Following the Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton fight, the debate ensued on who is the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Your choices? Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. That same debate resurfaced between Floyd and an ESPN broadcaster during a TV interview with the boxing star via satellite.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather, as he likes to call himself, is set to fight Juan Marquez on July 18th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but the main focus of the discussion seemed to be on the possibility of a Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight, much to the dismay of Floyd. After being asked the question on whether he should be chasing Manny, Mayweather continued to defend his thrown as best fighter in the world. At times the conversation got heated, especially when it was suggested that Floyd was the best pound-for-pound fighter until he retired, and now Pacquiao holds that reign.
Floyd Mayweather ends the argument by pointing to Manny's losses, and then states "Pacquiao can be called the best pound for pound, you just call me the cash king, you know stats don't lie." You are right Floyd. Stats don't lie. And that's why you are still number one, but the doubters continue to grow now. So all that's left for us to winder is whether we will ever get to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather? If the boxing gods are kind, the answer will undoubtedly be "YES".

His attitude and the way that he talks to people is very rude and so unnecessary. Why was the topic getting away from Juan Marquez? This guy have guts, to go up his weight and challenge the retired-Mayweather. All I can say is put the money in the bank, as Juan Marquez will realize that he can retire after this fight too, win or lose.

As far as I’m concerned, Floyd Mayweather is gay. He talks like a woman and he fights like a woman dancing. He won’t fight this great person Manny Pacquaio because he is scared of him.

Remember mayweather beat de la hoya at 154 closer to 160 on fightnight. Mayweather would roll off about 70 percent of mannys wacko haymakers and then counter perfectly while landing over 50% of his own power punches. I’ll take mayweathers brains and Braun over just mannys braun anyday for any amount of money simply because I’m not a sucker and I know what I’m talkin about. Manny could call it a victory if he doesn’t get his wreckless ass laid out flat.

I think the real issue certain people want Mayweather to loose because he is black. I think it starts from some of the media and sold to the fans. Man has never lost a fight beat everybody put in front of him and they try to paint the picture of him being scared.He has dominated in every weight class he has been in he deserves to be crown king regardless of his color. What you hear is Mayweather defending himself
with truth.Pacquiao is a good fighter but he has never been compared to Mayweather as being as good until he beat some names that Mayweather beat.If Pacquiao could beat Mayweather this would be his best chance to hopefully get him if he is rusty not in top form.Mayweather is smart not scared. Are you really as stupid as you sound. How in the world could you say that Mayweather has a glass jaw when he has never even been knocked down. He took a knee once in a fight because he broke is hand but never has he been knocked down or out.
Also, Mayweather doesn’t run or hold, he is a genius in the ring. He executes a perfect fight every time. Boxing is not about slugging it out and see who ends up with the worst bruised in the end..that would be called a street fight..if that’s what you want to see then go to your nearest hood…otherwise shut up, sit back and enjoy the true beauty of boxing.
That’s real talk. Floyd is a a brilliant fighter. Like Tinaturner said, boxing is not to be confused with street fighting or MMA. It is what it is. If you can throw shots from every angle, duck, dodge, and move around the ring without getting hit, that would make you a master like Floyd and a good match for Manny. However, if you are a wild fighter, with minimum skills, and no defense, you may not want to get in the ring with PBF. Manny is also a great fighter and I like him a lot, but does he have what it takes to stop Floyd? No! Sugar Shane is a great fighter, but asking Floyd to throw hands with him is foolish. Hell, he couldn’t beat Vernon Forest, whom might I add, knocked his butt out. For those of you that think Floyd is boring to watch, turn your channels to Spike. Then you would get what you want….a slug fest! Don’t misunderstand me, I have recently became a fan of MMA, because often times I, too, want to see a street fight. But, when I watch boxing, that’s what I want to see a boxing match…..and that is why I love watching Floyd Money Mayweather, he’s the real deal…All good things come to an end eventually, but I can’t see him losing to Manny……
