The Stat Line Of The Night – 05/19/09 – Kobe Bryant
Total Pro Sports – If last night was any indication, we are in for one heck of a Western Conference Finals series between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers. Although the Nuggets led for most of the first half of the game, the Lakers soared back and used Kobe Bryant’s great second half to pull off the 105-103 victory and take a 1-0 series lead.
Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony also had himself a great game, but in the end it was Kobe Bryant who would top him and lead his team to the important victory as the Lakers attempt to avoid giving away home-court advantage as they did against the Houston Rockets last round. Kobe recorded 40 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Thus, making him The Stat Line Of The Night” for Tuesday May 19th, 2009.
With game 2 scheduled for Thursday, the Nuggets will have the day off to figure out what went wrong last game as they attempt to even the series out before heading back to Denver. With fire power on both sides, this is a difficult series to predict, but one thing that isn’t hard to guess is that a game 7 remains a strong possibility.
