The Stat Line Of The Night – 05/28/09 – LeBron James
Total Pro Sports – He knew what was on the line. Beat the Orlando Magic, or go home disappointed with a 4-1 series loss. He also knew that in order for his side to win, the bulk of the load would once again fall on his shoulders, just as it always has. So what did LeBron James do? Only what he always seems to do. Get in the driver’s seat and take his team for a ride towards victory.
The Cleveland Cavaliers stayed alive last night with a 112-102 victory over the Orlando Magic, and much of the reason for their success was the play of LeBron James. Doing what he usually does, King James brought his complete game, not only scoring, but passing and rebounding his way to a triple double, allowing for his Cavs live another day. So what were the final totals? How about 37 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists, enough no only to earn the win, but also “The Stat Line Of The Night” for Thursday, May 28th, 2009.
The series will now shift back to Orlando for a critical game 6. The Magic would have liked to wrap it up in game 5 at Cleveland, but you can be sure they wont want to lose their only chance at home to eliminate Cleveland. Should LeBron and the Cavs have another performance like the one last night, it will likely make the near-end of the Magic’s championship hopes as they will be hard-pressed to win a game 7 back in Cleveland.
