if you watch the driver that was behind him was making a move under him and he turned down to block. this is something that happens in racing all the time and is more times than not mis judged by race fans.this is a very tragic event and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, but to make a comment that he should face trial is obsurd. anyone who has ever been involved with any type of motorsports knows that that is a chance you take when you hit the track.no one knows for sure what happened between the two drivers but i can guarantee there was nothing done intentionally

The guy did a CLASSIC PIT Maneuver. It's obvious, he wanted to win. That's fucking murder, this really should be looked into. I've seen cops do that all the time and that's exactly what any cop would do. This looks VERY suspicious

there's nobody to blame here, this is a race a very dangerous sport , every racer should know what does he risk, it is very clear in the video, goeters opens to the left to try to pass pardo, then pardo trying to defend his place closes to goeters making a very little contact which at 200 km/hr is deathly, some say that it's problem of the ones who designed the track for putting that wall, that's something stupid to say because that wall is the entrance to the pit zone which has to be separated from the track.

this was a terrible accident but nothing more than that, a matter of competition, every one of those racers looks for the first place and the one that has it defends it.

That is an unsafe track! That wall should never be at such an angle to the cars. If NASCAR is involved with this racing down there then they better make sure the tracks and cars are designed well enough. Terrible!

I don't think the driver in 2nd place is to blame here.

This looks to me like a normal racing incident where the driver in 1st place is too aggresive defending the overtake….you can say he pit manouvered himself.

i think it was a massive side impact and may have caused his head to whiplash sideways very hard. the hans device i believe is meant to reduce the front whiplash in an accident.

The other driver should not be charged with murder and whoever thinks so is as stupid as the idiot who designed that race track. I agree 100% with the person above who said this is a case of negligent homicide. Who should be charged? That answer can only come after an investigation. All of the "what if's" out there are just people stalling while trying to come up with an excuse. I say we leave the professionals to decide who is at fault. I also say we get some of NASCAR USA's money in there to speed up this process so Mr Pardo's family can have their closure.
