John Roddick Eats Booger, Watches Brother Andy Lose Heartbreaker
Total Pro Sports – Yesterday’s men’s final at Wimbledon between Andy Roddick and Roger Federer was an instant classic. A five-set thriller, which lasted 4 hours 16 minutes, was eventually won by Federer giving him the record for most career Grand Slams with 15.
The fifth and final set lasted an astounding 30 games (16-14 for Federer). It is very likely that the Roddick camp did not expect such a long game, else they may have packed a lunch rather than resorting to whatever they could find up their nose. Unfortunately, for Andy’s brother John, a tennis coach for the Oklahoma Sooners, boogers were all that was on the menu in the late stages of the match.
Camera’s picked up John in the stands making a stab at his nose, then trying to sneak whatever he caught into his mouth. Last weekend we caught a child at a Blue Jays game do the same thing, but John is no child. At least his actions helped Andy avoid being the most embarrassed Roddick of the day.
