Tulsa Linebacker Mike Bryan Tackles Catfish In The OffseasonTotal Pro Sports – Some NCAA football players have spent their off season admitting their virginity, getting bitten by zebras, or chasing around cheerleaders.  Then there is University of Tulsa linebacker Mike Bryan, who does what most have never even heard of.

They call it noodling.  You stick your hand into a dark hold under the water and hope to snag a giant catfish by the mouth.  Trust me.  It’s just as crazy as it sounds.  Being bitten is nothing out of the ordinary, something that becomes evident after looking at Bryan’s hands.

Although he didn’t quite come away with anything the size of Benson, a.k.a. “King of the Common Carp”, he did get eight nice catches on the day.  He doesn’t go out alone either, taking along his best friend Rodney and girlfriend Brittany.  When you are sticking your arm into unknown territory, it’s always good to have an extra hand around.
