Erika David Botches “God Bless America” At Dodger Stadium
Total Pro Sports - Remembering the seven or eight lines that make up America's most identifiable song does not sound like much of a challenge, but that all seems to change when a stadium packed with people is there to listen.
Erika David found that out the hard way, but at least the players seemed to get a kick out of it.
Meanwhile, Wade Boggs was likely out somewhere smashing some beers and steaming at the though of an individual butchering the song of Americana. At least it wasn't Mr. T singing it.
Last night at Dodger Stadium during a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Los Angeles Dodgers, all the fans in the stands got up and prepared to listen to the lyrics of a song they had heard many times before. Little did they know they would be in for a bit of a surprise.
Erika got the first line right, but it was all down hill after that. Attempting to cover up her faults through her high pitched tones and some mumbling, the players and fans alike were well aware that the lyrics she was singing we not the correct ones, and the smirks on their faces illustrate just that.

Almost as bad as her messing up the lyrics, she was incredibly flat. I wonder if she couldn’t hear the organ, since she kept touching her ear, a sign something is wrong with your earpiece. If she couldn’t hear the organ but had to go on with the show anyway, that could have thrown her off, causing her to mess up lyrics. What an embarrassment.
