Fan Attacks Ref At WWE SummerSlam's Main Event

Total Pro Sports - We have seen sports fans attack players before.  It is a scary moment when an unknown individual enters the field of play, and those involved in the game often react in shock, as you would expect.

So when an individual entered the ring at SummerSlam's main event between John Cena and Randy Orton, was it the real deal, or just part of the act that makes the WWE what it is?

During the match, Cena appeared to have Orton tied up in an ankle lock just moments before the fan entered the ring and attacked referee Scott Armstrong.  That caused Cena to free Orton, allowing him to escape out of the ring.  Once security took the fan away the match continued, but Orton was able to recover and put Cena away for the victory.

Upon first look it appears as though the incident was not scripted, but as the match continued and the subsequent events unfolded, it became evident that it was likely all planned out.  We have since been told that the man who entered the ring is Brett DiBiase, the 21-year-old son of former wrestler Ted DiBiase.  Brett had signed a WWE development deal in the beginning of 2009, and on Sunday he was given the opportunity to make his mark on the main event.

I think it is fair to say that he is one individual Randy Orton will not soon be snapping on.

Here are a couple of clips of the incident taken by fans.

LOL That was part of the show, the fan is a wrestler from the wwe, the younger son of Ted Dibiase

I call BS on it. If he had a WWE contract, it was a total plant and part of the script.
