This Michael Vick Mural May Be A Bit Overboard
Total Pro Sports - Last night Michael Vick made his return to the NFL as he suited up for the Philadelphia Eagles in their preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Fans at Lincoln Financial Field gave the backup quarterback a warm welcome, and even those who couldn't make it out to the game found a way to greet him.
Vick has made it known that he is a changed man, but that was not depicted in this mural, which appears on the side of a Tire Shop on Allegheny Avenue in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Vick is shown choking a dog wearing a Dallas Cowboys' jersey. I wonder if that dog got the jersey off the Eagles' online store.
A pic of the mural appeared on Flickr and was titled "die puppies die", which is intended to be a spin on the Eagles fight song "fly eagles fly". We have seen murals which pay tribute to the greatness of athletes, but then there are also those that remind us of the darker side of sports.
Vick was impressive in his debut, going 4 for 4 for 19 yards in limited action, but there is still a long road ahead in this comeback, both on the field, and off it.

I don’t think this mural is too much at all! Michael Vick is supposed to be a role model athlete for young kids, and he chooses to do idiotic things in his free time. He was found guilty , and thats all there is to it. This mural only states the obvious. I wish he was never allowed to play football again because this sends the message to all of the young people that if you are famous you can do whatever you want and not pay the consequences.

KOBE BRYANT WAS A POSSIBLE RAPIST(WE GOT OVER IT), DANTE STALLWOTH KILLED A MAN DRUNK(WE WILL GET OVER IT). NOW VICK, IT WILL TAKE TIME BUT LETS FORGIVE..IM NOT SAYING FORGET! HE MISSED HIS NEWBORN SON GROWING UP AND HE’LL NEVER GET THAT BACK! FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NEVER SINNED THROW THE FIRST STONE..WE HAVE ALL FELL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD BUT HE GOT EXPOSED. REGUARDLESS IF THIS NEVER HAPPENED THE ANIMAL COMPANIES WOUDN’T HAD SEEN A DIME OF VICKS MONEY OR TIME. HES GIVING BOTH SO GIVE HIM A BREAK. DOGS ARENT PEOPLE OR HE WOULD STILL BE IN JAIL!
