I read an article on this video, he lost one of his gloves right before he stopped so they found him really quick, he was about 4 feet down.

if u notice around the 7:40 mark the guy digging has a locater device hanging from him…the guy prolly fell a long way down since it took so long for them to get to him but they also scan back and forth along the mountain side so as no to miss him he was only about 2 ft down he wasn't in to much danger him and his friends are the smarter of action sports wannabees
