Kingston Frontenacs Michael Farrell Scores Behind-The-Back Beauty
Total Pro Sports – At 19-years-old, Michael Farrell is ready to step up and lead the OHL’s Kingston Frontenacs by example. He has done a good job thus far with eight points in five games, but don’t expect any of his teammates to be following his lead when it comes to breakaway moves.
While the OHL preseason provided some spectacular goals, there is something about a goal in a meaningful game that increases the awe factor, especially when it is this pretty.
After picking up a lose puck that squirted behind the Niagara Ice Dogs’ defense, Farrell found himself alone with the goalie. Making his way across the crease, he reached behind his legs with his stick and put the puck by goaltender Mark Visentin for the shorthanded marker.
It was his first of two goals scored during the game as Kingston went on to record the 4-2 victory.
Here is a look at the beauty by Farrell.
