Most asain cultures have shark as a staple of their diet, ever hear of shark fin soup? moron, whats the difference between eating a shark that a person actually puts effort into aquiring and you or anyone else eating slaughtered animals from giant farms that keeps animals in pens and then execute them en mass so you and everyone else can get it nicely packaged in a fast food wrapper. Sharks have been around longer then almost any other line of creatures in the world, they can afford to lose one to a higher predator (ya i mean us, you me and every other human are the highest level predator ever to live on earth)

First off, the swordfish just happed to be the one that they caught. Second, the "poor mako" was feeding off their rightful catch. Third, they were 18 miles out to sea.

Do your simple brains comprehend that at 7 miles out the regulations/rules do not apply.

So, for you bleeding hearts out there. What they did was "LEGAL" according to the laws/regulations.

And as far as I am concerned if you kill it you eat it. They killed it and shared it to eat. They did not let any go to waste. It is not like they finned it and then released it.

This is the most inhumane act of fishing I have ever seen. These fishermen should have more respect for the environment than that! They absolutely destroyed a beautiful mature female shark of reproductive age that is absolutely invalueable to the mako shark population. No people will not talk about this because they caught the animal fair and square, they will be talking about how it was savagely murdered and brutalized by these so called fishermen. I hope they get what they deserve in court, they should have known that the animal is worth much more alive than dead. Instead of living a long and happy life and making

more babies that would grow into other bigger makos this shark was savagely killed to be on a few dinner plates. Hardly worth the effort, stop the madness!!!

In the future we will be able to clone every single animal on the phylogenetic tree. Thus, we won't have to worry about extinctions – if that's what all you people are crying about…
