Dustin Byfuglien’s Red Suit A Perfect Match For The Red Carpet
Total Pro Sports - Dustin Byfuglien has been known to cause a scene on the ice, but at the Blackhawks’ home opener Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche, he showed he can do the same off it.
Chicago treated their faithful hockey fans to a red carpet entrance prior to the game as each member of the team made their way into the arena one at a time, shaking hands with those on the other side of the velvet ropes. For Byfuglien, it was an occasion that would allow him to make a fashion statement. Apparently he was looking for something that would go well with the red carpet, and he found it in a similarly red suit.
Byfuglien’s suit is not the only red thing the Blackhawks’ power forward has brought to the table as he has also turned the red light on three times thus far this season after only five games. Relatively unknown at this point last year, the former 8th round pick in 2003 NHL Entry Draft is finding a way to get noticed both on the ice and off it.
Rick Pitino may have finally met his match.
