1. everybody at central hates zachary
2. zacharys football team is really good
3. the year before zachary took 4 of centrals coaches
4. zachary trys to fight central after every sport they play... zacharys football players started a fight with central in the middle of the football feild but dont worry central own that to haha
5. central had been practiceing that play for two weeks

so i think central deserved to do that play

oh and btw i go to central and that play was almost as good a the play from the year before where the running back did a backflip in the back feild to distract the defence while the quater back took the ball up feild but that was aginst a diffrent team

True. It does all have a 'circus-like" flavor to it. ...I was actually saying the coach could apologize to his own team (or at least the QB) for ok-ing such a ridiculous stunt. Would have saved him some grief.....but he probably likes that the play is what he will most be remembered for in years to come. Maybe they should give him one of those "And One" handles ..but instead of "sSkip to my Lou" or "Helicopter" he can be something like "Backslinger!" or "Humiliator!"

LOL. If someone drops a behind-the-back pass on you they don't owe you an apology... but rather you would owe THEM an apology for being so pathetic at football that you let someone score on you like that.

The opposing team should have apologized, withdrew from the league, went home, and killed themselves.

This play was called by the coach, "Coach"! Get a grip and stop assuming the kid made the call on his own.

OK. Wow...let's all calm down and separate the supposed quality and character of the coach and player from the action that took place on the field. In my opinion, it seems that some good people simply made an error in judgement. Good people can make mistakes. But we don't have to entirely give them a free pass on that do we? I mean it was kind of like 2 guys entering a boxing ring and one of the guys pulling the 3 stooges tricks of slaps, eye gouges and nose pinches on the other guy who had come to simply box like a man. If you're quick enough to humiliate the boxer, why not just punch him in the nose...he'd respect you more for it. Seems like maybe the appropriate thing for the "honorable" coach to do would be to explain to the kids that HE had made a mistake and should never have allowed that to be done in a real game. After all, we as coaches are accountable for what we teach these 17 year old kids. Great fun for practice ...most humiliating for opposing players and coaches. Probably not meant that way, but it's kind of like ......well I'll use racism since it was brought up....it's kind of like a seemingly innocent comment that is deemed racist by the people it was directed against. THEY get to decide whether it was wrong or not. It seems that the opponents victimized by this play did not care for the manner in which things were done. Didn't seem like they went to midfield after the game and congratulated the participants on the play and said.."Wow, you know, that was a really cool, unnecessary, humiliating trick play you pulled on us..Great Job! That was the best good, clean fun I've ever had." I feel for players on both sides because this is not an issue of hatin' on a team, coach or QB. As the Good Word tells us, "..as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another...." Good luck to both teams the rest of the way!

The websites posting this video have slanted the whole discussion by not filling in the history of the two schools and coaches. But that is what the media is all about – controversy and negativity.

Even without knowing the history, I doubt the quarterback was the one who called this play, since most pros don’t even call their own plays these days.

I agree with Hope above – the threatening comments posted here are much more unsportsmanlike than the pass appears to be.

I totally agree Ace! It doesn't matter whether you or black or white! If you are a good athlete you deserve the praise.
The Central Wildcats are a team made up of white and black kids that are all worthy or praise! They work together as a team.
