The Hardest Pop Warner Hit Ever (Video)

39

The Hardest Pop Warner Hit EverTotal Pro Sports - It may have only been practice, but unlike Allen Iverson these 8-year-old's leave it all on the field no matter what the circumstances.

Some may think that when these little guys play football, the impact of their hits is nothing to be concerned about, but that was not the case here.  Don't believe me?  Just listen to the sounds made at impact and the boy's cry after he gets lit up in this contact drill.

With the ball carrier and defensive player lined up across from one another, the whistle blew and they both went charging full speed ahead.  Unfortunately, their momentum was put to a screeching halt when they collided in a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit.  Sorry buddy, but there are not yellow flags in practice.  Just massive headaches.

We knew that this kind of contact could occur at the college and high school level, but who would have thought such little kids were capable of such big things?

There is only one way to learn how to tackle properly, and that is the hard way.  Walk it off kid.

    9. steve says:

bad tackling technique. He went with his head down into the kid, could result in a spinal cord injury later on in life till he corrects it.

    10. NotSurprised says:

Lol you guys must be the same parents who like to punch the other kids when they whoop your little kids ass.
Just goes to show you really dont need to have many brain cells to enjoy sports. While not a blanket statement, the above posts dont lead one to believe that there are many among us that have an IQ over 5

    11. ADam says:

I’m a chiropractor, and recent research shows that these sub-concussive blows can result in serious injury. wait a few years and see that rules will have to be changed, and helmets will have to be redesigned once the truth comes out. Did you watch the head of the NFL deny it in front of the hearing yesterday…no one with any sense believes him. An injury as minor as this can have serious long term effects. I bet everyone knows some guy that has knee problems from a few years of high school football.

    12. Greg says:

@Adam – the whole head to head crash thing is pretty crazy. There was a recent article in the new Yorker about football players and brain damage, Apparently, an unbelted car crash at 25 miles per hour has you hit the windshield with about a 100 g force impact on your brain. Researchers studied the impact football players take, and found that they were sustaining 80, 90, and 100 g force impacts routinely during practices and games. The cumulative effect of these “car crashes” seems to have a pronounced impact on them years down the line. PS – I was not paid to put that link there!!!!!

    13. LUke says:

My 59 pound 8 year old can tackle harder than that properly. THis looks brutal but the two kids are running at each other that is going to get one of them hurt and it does not teach how to tackle a target that can move side to side. A much safer harder tackle can be generated by teaching the kid to bull his neck and put the screws on the top of the facemask on the ball. That tackle is just like two rams running into another.

    14. Dan says:

@Nell Zone: I think you were trying too hard to be funny there….just ended up sounding kinda dumb.

    15. Mike Ovington says:

I love seeing grown wannabees getting their rocks off watching little kids beat the crap out of each other. The wonderful world of experiencing vicarious thrills through our children. Those “fathers” ought to just be ashamed.

    16. Steve says:

Man, I’m from a rough neighborhood and I think that this is a bit too much for kids man.

My son is two and I will be putting him in MMA classes, but they will be more teaching him technique rather than actual fighting.

I guess the parents have to decide whether or not the sports programs near them are safe for their kids.

    17. pidgas says:

“Sorry buddy, but there are not yellow flags in practice. Just massive headaches.”

Followed by chronic headaches and early-onset dementia.

      @ Dan
Nell Zone was quoting South Park’s “Scott Tenorman” episode, when Radiohead shows up to Cartman’s chili cookoff at the end of the show.

    19. Tank says:

@ Dan – he was quoting stewie from family guy

    20. Bawbag says:

I was playing full contact rugby at that age. Pansies.

    21. Ron Johnnnnnn says:

OUCH! Damn that little tike got roughed up. Did you hear him whining lol.

    22. jj says:

Their helmets are as big as the kids are . . its hard not to hit helmet to helmet!

    23. Alx says:

      Americans….

    24. Donald says:

      Rugby sucks!

and you would be whining too after that hit…his head was probably ringing like a dinner bell!

    25. Johnny Cochring says:

Folded like a pussy so he’ll no doubt grow up angry, bitter and republican.

    27. Paul Gasfagerty says:

Stopped the little fag dead and separated him from the ball… Score for the little turd crying on the ground. Wake up sport dweebs.. If you were thinking about football.

    28. Jamal Teekoweeko says:

Look at that crybaby what a little wuss. He must be a boyscout or something thats not a football player. He needs to eat steaks and take protein shakes and stop acting like a bitch. He got hit so hard his tampon fell out.

    30. im says:

First this is not the proper way to tackle… please promote good practice

    31. brudd says:

IF you notice the kid that gives out the hit is holding his neck…prob a stinger, a couple people already said that its piss poor tackling technique and they are absolutely correct.

    32. Red Neck Hater says:

6? Easy to write a massive blog and show a CHILD crying as the result of physical pain. But hey your probably a washed up old man who never got his shot. So he hung around the town to feel important while forcing his kid to live out his dreams. FUCK OFF! DIE. and get physical yourself

    33. WillStyles says:

This is why parents should not coach football. They know nothing about tackling correctly because they probabley never played. They are thinking that since they have pads on, they can do whatever they want with kids. NO. Very rarely does this kind of hit occur. I had an Ahole assistent coach in highschool who was doing the same thing and the head coach almost fired him for it. And like these parents, he never played football. This drill is super dangerous and you have to give the option of the kid to go around the defender.

And for all the foriegners making fun of Americans stop. U guys claim to be so much more mature and intelligent than Americans…show it. Most of us do not make fun of soccer, so please show us some respect and not make fun of football.

      • Agreed says:

I have to agree 100%. The first time I watched this my first thought wasn’t about the hit but about poor coaching. See what you hit and hit what you see.

    34. Matt says:

      Stupid americans.

    35. John says:

Whoever calls this kid a cry baby is a stupid fuck and is a punk… Watch the video..
The kid who made the HIT dropped his helment which is extremely dangerous for the kid
who did not get hurt.. he could have easily cause himself a bad cervical injury.. the kid who got hurt just got little whiplash, but the other kid could hAVE paralyzied himself.. A good coach teaches to make a hit with your looking forward looking at your target.. never hit with the top of your helment..

    36. lori says:

Grab GQ magazine October issue I think, theres an article about how lots of Football players have ended up killing themselves, living in squalor, losing their families, homes , lives..becoming drunks, wackos , drug addicts due to all the brain damage they have sustained over years and years of hits…its a very eye opening article..crazy…also My friend Rico Mc Clinton has a documentary out called Blood Equity..all about the game and the players that are left with nothing but pain and problems after they are cut loose..no insurance and the teams they once gave their lives for turn their backs on these guys..This shot was very scary and that little boy could have been injured severly or killed.

    37. lori says:
