The Stat Line of the Night – 11/08/09 – Kurt Warner
The only thing better than watching your favorite home town sports team win their league’s championship is going to the parade a few days later. With thousands of fans in attendance looking to cheer on their newly found heroes, and some even willing to put on a show, these types of events are simply a good time waiting to happen.
In Pittsburgh the fans entertain themselves by throwing footballs through the open windows of an apartment building. In New York, they do things a little different for their beloved Yankees.
Looking more like a rock concert than a World Series championship parade, tons of Yankees fans arrived at the scene early and got the party started. So what does a New Yorker’s idea of celebrating involve? How about tossing fans several feet into the air. In this particular picture we have a female Derek Jeter fan getting airborne. Is it just me or does it look like the moon is out in the middle of the day? Only in New York I guess.
Dangerous? Yes. But at least the ambulance was already present in the background for precautionary measures.
