0

Packers Lions FootballForget the turkey. Aaron Rodgers went for something bigger. He devoured the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving and the Packers won 34-12.

Detroit actually struck first with a Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson TD pass. But then it was all Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers first hit Donald Lee for a 7-yd. score in the 2nd quarter. Green Bay added 2 field goals before the half. Then Rodgers dominated the 3rd quarter. He found Driver for a 7-yd. TD and threw his third scoring pass to James Jones, a 21-yd. strike.

Overall Rodgers had five passes that connected for 25 yards or more. He hooked up with 8 different receivers and finished the game 28-39 with 348 yards, 3 TDs and 0 picks. All that was good for a passer rating of 124.7. The Packers also moved to 7-4 and are very much alive in the playoff hunt. So for his performance against the Lions, Aaron Rodgers has The Stat Line of the Night for 11/26/09.
