Uh, I'm not proud that you're Canadian, because you lack basic English competence.

Radakast was saying that the COMPARISON is asinine, not the long standing tradition.

To be fair, it could have been two separate sentences to make it clear.

Also, I don't find the comparison asinine, it's playful and clever.

Kitchener Rangers (OHL) got almost 7,000 bears this year, too. GO RANGERS!

Teddy bear tosses are a long standing tradition in minor league hockey, your comparison to "make it rain" is asinine at best. Canada and the US minor leagues (ECHL, IHL, CHL, etc) have been doing this for many years.

Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League in Canada do this every year. Actually it is coming up on Sunday December 13th. The last few years they have been hitting 24,000+ teddy bears on the ice. When they score and you look up it is just a wall of stuff animals flying over your head…
