The Stat Line of the Night – 12/30/09 – LeBron James
Now that’s how to celebrate a birthday. LeBron James turned 25 on Thursday and it’s safe to say that The King blew out all his candles. LeBron and Joe Johnson did battle as the Cavs played the Hawks in Cleveland. Guess who won?
LeBron went off. He scored a season-high 48 points, hitting 15-23 from the floor. He was 4 for 6 from three-point range and also nailed 14 of 16 from the foul line. The King also had a game-high 10 boards and added 6 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
LeBron bested Johnson, who scored 35 for the Hawks, and The Cavs won 106-101. They move to 26-8 overall, and record their sixth straight win as well as their 11th straight at home. It was also another solid victory over a playoff-bound team. The Cavs hold an 8-2 record against teams with 20 or more wins.
Happy Birthday, LeBron. You have The Stat Line of the Night for 12/30/09. But remember to save some of this for Kobe and the finals!
