Brazilian Commentator Faints On Live Television (Video)

Brazilian Commentator Faints On Live TelevisionIt is no secret that at times the job of a commentator may be even more difficult than it looks.  Having to deal with rowdy fans, tricky tongue twisters, and even giant octopuses every now and then is enough to throw even the best off their game.

As for this unlucky Brazilian commentator, we are still trying to figure out what did him in (the 37°C posted in the top right corner may have something to do with it).

With the cameras rolling, these two guys began breaking down an upcoming soccer game between Gremio and Sao Luiz, when about 25 seconds in the man on the right lets out a deep breath, and moments later drops to the ground as he loses consciousness.  The camera then cuts to two other individuals who appear to be breaking down the fainting incident.  It is at times like this I wish I spoke Portuguese.

They only say to the viewers not to be panic, because that’s was caused by the heat and he was going to be attended immediately.

    3. Translator says:

Yes, it was the heat. The two guys at the end tell everyone to calm down, down worry, it’s really hot outside (37 degrees C is about 99 degrees F) and Batista (the commentator who fainted) is going to be okay. He was just overwhelmed by the heat.

    4. Ismael says:

The temperature is the key really. 37º with termical sensation (I don’t know if this expression really exist in english) close to 45º Celsius.

After the incident Batista (Former 80’s Brazilian Soccer team player) explains he need to run to the cabin where all happened. He said inside the cabin the heat is even worse than outside because there is no air conditioning.

While US suffer with giant snow storms, Our city, Porto Alegre, is suffering record temperatures this year.

Climate change is really just an Hoax ? Batista seens to think other way.

    5. Jonathan says:

The other commentators are telling the audience to stay calm, its because of the heat, they have water and emergency medical crews right there, and they are assuring them that right now he is being given care and will be fine in no time.
