High School Hockey Introduction Fail (Video)

High School Hokcey Introduction FailIt is not often that a high school hockey player gets the opportunity to come out onto the ice as a P.A. announcer introduces him to fans through the loud speaker, with the cameras rolling.  So when it does happen, you want to make the best of it.

Needless to say, this kid didn't...or did...depending on who you ask.

As Alexandria H.S. defenseman, Zach Van Orsdel skates out to the blue line, it is almost as if you can sense some instability from the start.  As he approaches the cameraman, Zach loses an edge and goes tumbling by.  Thankfully (for us, not Zach), the game was televised as part of the popular Minnesota State Prep Hockey Championships.

Zach would shake it off and was a great sport about the entire thing, waving to the crowd as he returned to the blue line.  It was almost as if he had planned it from the start.  And if he hadn't, no worries.  It's not like it is the worst failed entrance we have seen.
