The Stat Line of the Night – 3/11/10 – Brandon Roy

brandon royIf Brandon Roy played in New York, LA or Chicago, he’d likely be a megastar with his face all over your TV in funny commercials. But instead, Roy plays for the Portland Trailblazers and goes widely unnoticed by the general NBA audience. But not here. We have nothing but love for the sharpshooter from Washington.

Last night the Blazers headed to Golden State to take on the Warriors. Roy went to dominate the game and he did just that. The fearless guard got to the free throw line 17 times in the game and sank 13 of those. He also drained 14 of his 22 shots from the floor and finished the night with a game-high 41 points. For good measure Roy added in 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and a block.

The Blazers get a road win and improve to 39-28 by beating Golden State 110-105. Their fierce defense held the Warriors to just 9 4th quarter points. Roy added all the firepower on offense, and he has The Stat Line of the Night for 3/11/10.
