The Stat Line of the Night – 4/1/10 – Dustin Brown
There was some major lamp lighting going on last night in Los Angeles. Poor Roberto Luongo probably had some nightmares. The Kings absolutely wrecked the Canucks, jumping out to a 5-0 lead and winning by a score of 8-3.
The first star was Kings left winger Dustin Brown. Brown blasted 6 shots at Luongo and netted 3 of them for his first career NHL hat trick. He also had an assist to give him a career-best four-point night. Brown got fans young and old to hurl their hats on the ice at the beginning of the 3rd period when he whipped one past Luongo for his 3rd goal of the game.
It was a big win for Brown and the Kings as they try to secure their first playoff appearance since 2002. The win was the second straight for LA and it brought them up to 94 points on the season. Unless they completely collapse, the Kings will be playing playoff hockey. Dustin Brown has The Stat Line of the Night for 4/1/10.
