The Stat Line of the Night — 4/26/10 — LeBron James
LeBron James is the best player in the NBA right now and he is not shy about showing it. Yesterday against the Bulls he nailed shots from everywhere on the court, found open teammates with ease, and defended and rebounded like those things were his specialty. Unfortunately for the Chicago Bulls, they were on the receiving end of his basketball clinic, losing 121-98.
LeBron was amazing at everything yesterday. He notched a triple-double while scoring 37 points. He was 11-17 from the field, 9-10 from the free throw line, and 6-9 from beyond the arc. One of those threes was an amazing 40-foot three-pointer at the end of the third. LeBron strolled up the court and pulled up just inside the halfcourt line and nailed it like it was a 12-footer. Add 12 rebounds, 11 assists, and 2 steals, and you’ve got an amazing game. The Cavs looked unbeatable and their leader LeBron was the main reason why.
I don’t think anyone is counting on the Bulls to shock the world, but LeBron’s performance last night was even better than we could have anticipated. If he keeps up like this he will have a championship ring in a little over a month. His game yesterday, however, earns him “The Stat Line of the Night”.
