I think I speak for many when I say that the NBA’s Slam Dunk Competition is just not what it used to be. Ever since Vince Carter dazzled us with his high-flying abilities in 2000, there just doesn’t seem to be much creativity and originality involved anymore. In order to change that, perhaps all that is needed is a skateboard.
Much like horse racing and show jumping, or fishing and hunting, the combination of basketball and skateboarding just seems like a perfect fit.
