Boca Juniors Goalkeeper Snaps Opposing Player’s Leg
Hey Japan – Get Your Own Goal Celebration
We recently showed you the awesome goal celebration by the players of Stjarnan in Iceland. That performance was so creative, and it made its way around the world in no time at all. Here is a decent reproduction of the celebration, done by some cat named Tomoaki Makino of J-League side Sanfrecce Hiroshima and of course, his willing teammates.
It’s certainly a worthy effort, and we’d rather see people doing that one than something really gay like, oh, I don’t know — kissing your teammate right on the lips.
If soccer players are going to start duplicating celebrations, we think they ought to start borrowing from other sports. I sure would like to see “The Ickey Shuffle” get back in fashion. I mean, who doesn’t, right? How about fans throw some octopus out on to the pitch? Like 10,000 of them. Or every player doing the Dikembe Mutombo finger wag? Maybe they rip off their jerseys and they all have Brandi Chastain-like sports bras on underneath. Go for it!
